Why the E3
isn't fat tire —
and when that matters.

The E3 uses a supplier-declared puncture-resistant 3.0-inch tire for its hardened-pavement commuter brief: enough moped presence without pretending to be an all-terrain bike. Fat tires serve a different terrain and visual priority.

Why the E3 chose
a 3.0-inch tire.

“Fat tire” is a useful dimensional description, but it is often treated as a complete performance category. Width does not capture casing, pressure, tread, compound, wheel mass or suspension.

For a paved commuter, a 3.0-inch tire keeps the moped-style stance without turning the bike into an all-terrain claim. That matches the E3's supplier-documented hardened-pavement use.

The supplier describes the E3 tire as 20×3.0 inches and puncture-resistant. We do not attach a made-up range or stopping percentage to that choice; pressure, tread, compound, surface, speed and load still matter.

If you want a wider tire, choose by the complete model and documented terrain. The E3 remains a hardened-pavement product under the supplier material currently available.
